Only Order What You Need Campaign -Claim Window is open from 5th to 31st August 2025

From Monday 16th June to 4th August 2025 all LLR Community Pharmacies are invited to participate in the Only Order What You Need Campaign. This campaign will be running across LLR GP Practices and Care Homes to raise awareness and encourage patients to manage their repeat prescriptions. Invitation to Webinar & Pilot Opportunity – Smart Inhaler Dongle

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar on Tuesday 29th July from 1:30–2:00pm, where we will be joined by Smart Respiratory to introduce an exciting pilot opportunity for all community pharmacies across LLR. Smart Respiratory have developed a Smart Inhaler Dongle designed for use with pressurised MDI (Metered Dose Inhaler) devices. This innovative device offers: • Dose tracking • Adherence and compliance monitoring • Medication reminders • Notifications when the inhaler is empty Smart Respiratory are seeking volunteer community pharmacies to participate in this pilot by collecting and analysing data from patient-returned MDIs. Shared Care Records for LLR Community Pharmacies

ACT NOW! Pharmacy Quality Scheme for 2025/26

The declaration period for the 2025/26 PQS is between 9am on 2nd February 2026 and 11.59pm on 27th February 2026, with pharmacy owners needing to have evidence to demonstrate meeting the domains that they have claimed for by the end of 31st March 2026.

Locally Commissioned Services

Many services provided by community pharmacists are commissioned locally according to the needs of the area. Locally commissioned community pharmacy services can be contracted via a number of different routes and by different commissioners. These include:

Pharmacy Contraceptive Service

This service now covers the initiation of oral contraception, routine monitoring and ongoing supply. To help LLR community pharmacies get started including access to prescribing advice from the LLR Area Prescribing Committee click here.

Regional Correspondence

Please see the correspondence we have sent to all community pharmacies across LLR. This can be regional, local or important information for contractors and community pharmacy teams.

Pharmacy First

Around 98% of LLR community pharmacies are now delivering the Pharmacy First service. To help your pharmacy deliver the service successfully including access to resources to help you when speaking to your local GP Practice click here.
