Community Pharmacy Blood Pressure Checks Service
Introduction: This suite of new pharmacy services is part of the NHS strategy which aims to increase capacity in General Practice.
1) Case Finding – involves pharmacy teams inviting eligible members of the public to have a free blood pressure check. [see ‘About’ page for more info]
2) Supporting GP Practices with routine Blood Pressure Checks – involves pharmacy teams performing blood pressure checks on patients referred to the pharmacy from a GP surgery, to support the surgery in the management of patients with various long-term conditions. [see ‘About’ page for more info]
