What we do
We are the local NHS representative organisation for all 224 Community Pharmacies across Leicestershire and Rutland.
Community Pharmacy Leicestershire and Rutland proudly represents community pharmacies on all matters relating to the NHS Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework and associated Regulations (commonly referred to as “The Pharmacy Contract”).
- We are concerned with all aspects of NHS primary care that are relevant to community pharmacy.
- Promote local community pharmacy to NHS organisations, ICB, GP practices and patients
- Represent the views of all community pharmacists in the region – proprietors, employees, locums and pharmacy workforce
- Establish good relationships with NHS England, ICB, GP practices and others
- Raise awareness about local community pharmacies and their services
- To work with GP’s and other commissioners on commissioning local services
- Provide advice for community pharmacy contractors and others on a wide range of issues relating to NHS Community Pharmacy services
- Work with the Area Team and Local Authority to develop community pharmacy strategies and needs assessment
We are committed to working collaboratively with all our stakeholders including NHS England regional teams, NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (ICB) and partners across the Integrated Care System e.g., University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and GP practices.
