Locally Commissioned Services

Many services provided by community pharmacists are commissioned locally according to the needs of the area. Locally commissioned community pharmacy services can be contracted via a number of different routes and by different commissioners. These include:

Pharmacy Contraceptive Service

This service now covers the initiation of oral contraception, routine monitoring and ongoing supply. To help LLR community pharmacies get started including access to prescribing advice from the LLR Area Prescribing Committee click here.

Regional Correspondence

Please see the correspondence we have sent to all community pharmacies across LLR. This can be regional, local or important information for contractors and community pharmacy teams.

Pharmacy First

Around 98% of LLR community pharmacies are now delivering the Pharmacy First service. To help your pharmacy deliver the service successfully including access to resources to help you when speaking to your local GP Practice click here.
