Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, Integrated Care Board, continually review prescribing choices to ensure patients receive the most cost effective, evidence-based treatments available to make the best use of valuable NHS resources. This information should help put Community Pharmacists in a position to manage their stock, counsel patients and answer queries.
NHSE Workforce Training and Education (NHSE WTE) have launched the community pharmacy technician apprenticeship programme. This programme will support pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician’s (PTPTs) to be employed and complete their full 24-month apprenticeship training within a community pharmacy setting. WTE are offering a training contribution of £15,053 per trainee per year for two years to support sites. Applications via an Expression of Interest form- window open now until 23:59 Sunday 13 October 2024 via an online application form.
Leicestershire County Council are preparing the next phase of delivering services for Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC), Stop Smoking Pharmacology, and Staff Flu Vaccinations. They are seeking your insights through a brief questionnaire. Your feedback will help identify areas where improvements can be made, ensuring the process is efficient and manageable for everyone involved this includes service fees and procurement routes. We strongly urge all LLR Pharmacies to complete the survey whether you are currently providing locally commissioned services or not.
