MYS March Submissions – FP34C Deadline Reminder
I have recently received queries regarding the March FP34C submission deadline, particularly as the dates fall over the Easter period.
For the March submission, Good Friday falls on 3rd April, and according to Community Pharmacy England (CPE) guidance, the submission deadline has been extended to Monday 6th April 2026.
However, Monday 6th April is Easter Monday, when many pharmacies will be closed.
I have raised concerns to CPE regarding the timing of this deadline and asked whether a further extension may be possible. The response received is that CPE did request the DHSC and the NHS BSA to allow submissions up to Tuesday 7th April without impacting early advance payments.
Unfortunately, this was not possible as payment schedules are tied to banking timelines, and extending the submission deadline would have delayed early advance payments for all pharmacy owners. Other proposed solutions were also considered but deemed unfeasible due to the limited time available for system changes.
Therefore, pharmacy owners must submit their March FP34C declaration via MYS by no later than 6th April 2026 in order to secure early advance payments on 10th April 2026.
Given the Easter weekend and varying opening hours, we urge contractors, where possible, to complete their end-of-month MYS submission by Thursday 2nd April 2026 to avoid any issues with the deadline.
