Chaperone Policy
This guidance explains to pharmacy professionals the importance of maintaining clear sexual boundaries, and their relevant responsibilities. Pharmacy professionals should use their professional judgement in applying this guidance.
The guidance document has been issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council. It is not mandatory to have in place a chaperone policy, but pharmacy contractors may wish to consider the points highlighted in the document in order to protect patients and staff.
