The Extended Care concept started small with just two Tier 1 services and it has been growing as outcomes evidence is demonstrating that Extended Care Pharmacists (ECPs) are very capable of caring for patients suffering from the specified conditions.

Tier 1 services:          (i) Simple UTI (females 16-64 years)

(ii) Acute Bacterial Conjunctivitis (3-24 months)

may be offered by any accredited ECP

 Tier 2 services:           (iii) Impetigo

(skin)                            (iv) Infected Eczema

(v) Infected Bites & Stings

offered by ECPs already providing Tier 1

 Tier 3 service:            (vi) Otitis Media

(ear)                             offered by ECPs selected after Expressions of Interest
